Every project is unique, but in general, this is what you can expect from our branding process.
Good branding starts with a deep understanding of the business. In our Discovery Phase, we get to know your business’ values, goals, and audience. We use these learnings to inform brand research to discover what your peers and competitors are doing before we start designing your visual identity.
With the knowledge from our Discovery Phase, we hone in on a brand strategy to inform the design process. With a solid strategy guiding us, we create initial concepts and mood boards to illustrate the creative direction we have planned for your brand.
Once we have the strategy and visual direction that encapsulates your brand’s values and goals, we begin bringing that concept to life with logotype variations, color palettes, typography, and illustrations. Through presentation and discussion with you we create the individual elements of your brand and compile instructions for their use in a set of brand guidelines.

We typically request a 50% deposit up front to secure your project and get it on our calendar. We can split the remainder of the cost up across the span of the project depending on your needs and the project timeline.
In short, no. We believe that strong branding requires more than just a good logo. In order to provide the most valuable branding services for our clients, we no longer offer logos as a standalone service. (The one exception being higher budget logotype projects where a type designer is needed. Get in touch if that is what you’re looking for.)

In our brand audit process, we evaluate all of your visual output and compare that to your company’s vision and goals. We provide a report of our findings and recommendations on how to refocus or expand upon your visual identity to better align with your brand. This is a great option if you have a brand identity but your creative output feels a little disparate.

Licenses for your brand typefaces will need to be purchased separately by your company and are not included in the project cost.
